Course description
The Preparation Course consists of an intensive four to five-day workshop that will provide practitioners with an in-depth knowledge of the relevant aspects covered during the course. It will also reaffirm the basic features and characteristics of PPPs.
Course Aims
The Preparation Course is designed to provide practitioners with the knowledge and understanding to apply and tailor PPP frameworks and PPP project identification, screening, appraisal, and preparation processes in a given governmental context.
With suitable direction and as part of a multi-disciplinary team, a successful public sector practitioner should be able to start applying the new-found knowledge leading to improved public service delivery.
For practitioners involved in the private sector side of PPPs, the certification will enable them, with suitable direction and as part of a multi-disciplinary team, to start applying knowledge of the PPP concept as an asset/business opportunity, and of governments objectives and institutional arrangements.
APMG Certification Program
The APMG PPP Certification Program is an innovation of the World Bank Group (WBG) and International Finance Organisations with a shared vision of enhancing Public Private Partnerships (PPPs) performance globally. CP3P is the definitive credential to demonstrate that practitioners are aligned with international PPP good practice.
Course format
The workshop is experiential and interactive. Practitioners are exposed to relevant country and/or sector case studies that are used to embed principles and processes.
The practitioners will also complete a sample exam paper during the course in preparation for the certification exam.
Exam Format: Online exam, 80 multiple choice questions, 50% required to pass, 2½ hours duration, Open book.
