Course description

The Foundation Course represents an intensive two-day online workshop to provide practitioners with a general overview of PPPs. It will also introduce some basic features and characteristics of PPPs.

The CP3P Foundation is a pre-requisite for the CP3P Preparation (Level 2) and Execution (Level 3) programs.

Course Aims

The main objectives of the Foundation Course are to introduce the PPP concept as an option to procure and manage infrastructure; to scope the term for the purposes of the PPP Guide, and to explain its main characteristics.
This Foundation Course includes the relevance and features of a proper PPP framework and the entire PPP process cycle, including a description of each of the phases that constitutes the process from a practical perspective. One additional objective of the Foundation Course is to help to create a common ground for terminology regarding PPPs and the PPP process.

APMG Certification Program

The APMG PPP Certification Program is an innovation of the World Bank Group (WBG) and International Finance Organisations with a shared vision of enhancing Public Private Partnerships (PPPs) performance globally. CP3P is the definitive credential to demonstrate that practitioners are aligned with international PPP good practice.

Course format

The two-day live online workshop is experiential and interactive. Practitioners are exposed to relevant country and/or sector case studies that are being used to embed principles and processes.
Practitioners will undertake an online exam the last day of the course.

Exam Format: Online exam, 50 Multiple-choice questions, 50% required to pass, 40 minutes duration, Closed book

The Foundation Course covers chapter 1, the Introduction and Overview of the PPP Certification Guide.
